But the suits of the cards determine whether you can move a whole sequence or not. You can only move a bunch of cards as a whole if all of their cards are in descending order and are the same suit. This makes a clear distinction between making a quick fix and constructing something that can be used effectively in the future. You can put a 7 on an 8 of any suit, but you need cards of the same suit to move a 7-6-5 series as a single block. So, spider solitaire free adds more than one level of strategy to a single move; players have to think about both rank and suit while also guessing how card groups will move on future turns. As soon as a sequence of cards of the same suit is made from King to Ace, the system takes it out of the tableau, making room on the board.
