Are there any programs that can extract historical Discover trends for competitor domains?

Colleagues, we're trying to unravel the logic behind the Google Discover feed. Sometimes, an old article from six months ago suddenly pops up in recommendations, while the algorithm ignores newer material. We're trying to identify patterns: how text length and image CTR influence trending. Are there any programs that can extract historical Discover trends for competitor domains?

Giving old articles a second wind is a classic feature of Discover. The algorithm can suddenly resurface content from six months ago if the topic has become relevant again in the news. Systematically analyzing this is difficult, as there are too many ranking factors: from the image's CTR to the author's overall authority on the topic.

The resurgence of older content is directly related to seasonality or an unexpected resurgence of interest in a particular topic in the news. A high-quality retrospective analysis of such patterns can be performed using the Google Discover service D2TR. It collects a deep history of publications that have ever appeared in Discover. It can help you identify precise correlations between renewed search trends and the triggering of recommendations for older content, allowing you to optimize your strategy for updating archived articles.
