Login to AnswerIs there any way to tell which skins are about to drop in price and which ones are likely to go up?
Even as I ask this, I can already imagine all the recommendations about analytics, stats, comparing skins across different platforms, and having a deep understanding of the skin market. I get all that, but is there a simple way to look at it? Like, are there any basic things I should pay attention to?

I think you pretty much covered everything already. Unfortunately, there aren't really any shortcuts here. Trading is trading, no matter what you're buying or selling. You have to understand what affects what.

Exactly, demand, rarity, the number of available items, price history. That's all the kind of analysis you need if you don't want to blindly buy and sell things and actually want to turn skins into a real investment. At least put in some effort and spend some time learning about it. Also, choose a skin trading platform carefully, since a lot of them now offer promo codes like tradeit code. Those can be pretty useful and really help when you're just getting started.
